Easter

Delaney has had a great Easter Morning. She had hunted for eggs, then rehide them so she could practice for the big egg hunt at Uth Mom's later today.
I've listened to General Conference while fixing breakfast, frying chicken, deviling eggs, dipping strawberries in chocolate and reading the Easter story to Delaney. But I have to admit, after listening to all the talks, feeling humbled as well as filled with a renewed spirit, Istill enjoy the programs between the conference talks as much or even a little more than the actual conference. I just finished the bio on the Mormon Tabernacle Choir and thought that was my favorite, now I'm finishing the bio on the painter, Carl Block (ie) and feel like I have just enjoyed a talk again. Something about his pictures of Christ interacting with people makes me wish I could have been one of them. The great Easter Egg hunt with Delaney, Daphne and Grandpa

My brother sent me this little quilt book for my birthday, and it is little, about 2" square. He thought I would like it and he was right. I love it. I gave this same little book to my Grandmother for her birthday a very long time ago. She taught me to quilt 36 years ago. So many of us quilters don't receive quilts or quilt related items as gifts, because people think since we quilt we have all we need. So this little book is all the more special to me. Thanks for knowing me and thinking of me Tom. Here is one of my favorite verses in the book:

It was not a woman's desire to be forgotten. And in one simple, unpretentious way, she crated a medium that would outlive even many of her husband's houses, barns and fences. She signed her name in friendship onto cloth and, in her own way, cried out....Remember me.
